  • What is Spiral Mountain?

Once a virtual museum for all things Banjo-Kazooie, Spiral Mountain has now evolved into an active community and gathering place for B-K fans around the globe. We've worked very hard to establish this site as a place where you can talk about the B-K series and to ask questions without fear of being flamed or being labelled a 'noob'. Some people will only be discovering this great series for the first time and will naturally have questions about this great series. This site will allow you to find the answer in a fun and safe environment.

Specific game content such as reviews, features and walkthroughs are being added all the time by our staff members. You can also submit your own to us if you like and we'll host it here for all to see.

Is membership to the forums free?

Yup, it always has and always will be 100% free!

How do I become a member?

Spiral Mountain is chock-full of content for those who just want to pop their head through the door but in order to post messages in our forums you will need to sign up. To do this just click on this link and fill out the registration page. Providing someone hasn't already taken your desired username you will then be a member of Spiral Mountain! Please bear in mind that there are rules associated with joining up which you need to be aware of so please take the time to read them. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them.

What's all this stuff about secrets I keep hearing about?

You may be aware that Banjo-Kazooie had six brightly coloured eggs and an ice key hidden away in the levels. Well, they are also hidden away on this site! If you should spot them then be sure to click on them quickly!

It is very important that you keep the location of the secrets top secret. Just as you wouldn't want a friend to come and tell you what presents you've got for Christmas before you open them, part of the mystery and fun of the secrets is having the surprise of finding them yourself so please don't go and ruin it for others. The admin will know if you've been naughty or nice ...

What / who is Dear Gobi?

Dear Gobi is the letters page here at Spiral Mountain. We've been able to secure the writing services of Gobi the camel, who you may recognize from the B-K games. Send him your letters (it can be about anything you like but a B-K focus would be preferable) and he will post his answers at completely random and irregular intervals. He's always off on a trek to some far-flung corner of the globe so we never know when he will poke his head through the door to check the mailbag!

    What are "Jiggy Achievements"?

As any honeybear and breegull duo could tell you, collecting Jiggies will allow you to progress through your adventure. In similar fashion, there are a number of jiggies around the site up for grabs that you can collect for yourself. The entire list of jiggies as well as the criteria to collect them are located here. Once you have fufilled the requirements on the jiggy you wish the collect, simply select the "Request Reward" option to the right of the Jiggy. Choosing this option will let a moderator know that you've completed the task at hand, at which point you'll be rewarded with your own gleaming jiggy.

What if my question isn't covered on this FAQs page?

There are lots of ways to get in touch with the Spiral Mountain staff if you have a question or a problem. First of all please visit the Site Help & Suggestions forum and have a look around in there to see if another member has already asked a similar question; you will probably find your answer in that particular topic if they have. If not, create a new topic and someone will be along to answer your query as quickly as possible. If you'd prefer, you can also send an e-mail to the Spiral Mountain staff who will get back to you as soon as possible. Check out the Staff page for full contact details. Finally, if you're in the forum, you can send one of the Spiral Mountain staff a private message. The staff are listed at the bottom of the main forum index page. Click on the appropriate staff member to be taken to their profile and then click on the 'send private message' link. As time goes on we will add the most common questions to this page to help future new members.
